Between picking strawberries and running around the house making my famous pepper soup for my parents, I have always had a love for quality food and endless adventure. As a University of Dayton Dietetics Student, my love for food and adventures has only become stronger as I learn more about the amazing world we live in.  My hope is that this blog will provide an outlet for others to experience a thriving Latin American metropolis through the lens of cultural experiences I have while I am adventuring in Santiago, Chile. 

Personal Objectives:

I wish to bring a new perspective to others on Latin American cuisine and culture by sharing photos and writing about my food and travel experiences while I am in Santiago, Chile. I created this blog to help me reflect on my new experiences as I travel and to start a dialogue with others who are interested in food and health, in hopes to foster some ideas of mindful eating. 

Professional Objectives:

My other hope is that blogging will provide me with professional development as a dietetics student experientially learning about nutrition in Chile. The blog itself will further my communication and social networking skills. A Taste of Santiago will provide an outlet for dietetics students and licensed experts to see how I am becoming culturally competent as I stay in Chile.
